Threads of Identity invites people to look more closely at the stories we tell, consume, and share.
Stories are shaped by choices: who gets heard, what gets left out, whose experiences are centred, and what an audience is invited to understand. This workshop gives practical tools to examine those choices and explore how identity can make storytelling more honest and whole.
Participants explore how stories are shaped by identity, perspective, framing, and choice. Through discussion and guided creative exercises, they look at who is heard, who is missing, what details are included, and how a story changes when more of the human context is brought into view.
Threads of Identity helps participants think about identity not as one simple thing, but as a collection of threads: culture, family, language, community, belonging, disconnection, pride, uncertainty, and change.
The workshop supports media literacy, storytelling, critical thinking, and creative confidence.
